LPM Deliverance Guide

(for those possessed by demons)

 [ LPM Sunday Service - 1th July 2007]

How does bondage start in a person?

Bondage begins in people when the Word of God is absent in their lives. Liberty begins when God’s word is present in someone's life.

Can a Christian be possessed by demons?   NO

Why then do we see so many people who call themselves Christian possessed by demons?

A backslidden Christian who has opened a spiritual door (this gives demons legal authority to enter and stay in a person) gives demons these privileges.

How does one open a "spiritual door"?

Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness? (Rom 6:16)

Rom 6:16 tells us that people choose whether to be free or to be bound by demons. If you watch programs on TV where they speak to the dead you open yourselves to the demon spirit of death. If you read horoscopes, you open yourselves to the occult (actually the demon spirit of divination). Read pornography, you open yourself to the demon spirit of lust, etc.

Is there a way of escape?

2 Tim 2:26 tells us that those bound can deliver themselves by getting back to the Word of God.

In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth; And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will. (2Ti 2:25-26)

What is the process into bondage for a backslidden Christian ?

Step 1 : Regression

[Defin] Regression is related to moving backwards, and the opposite of progression

[Defin] Regression is a process claiming to retrieve memories of previous lives

They go back to old behaviors (the old man)

They do the things they did before they were saved.

Step 2: Repression

[Defin] the act of excluding desires and impulses from one's consciousness

They no longer thank God

They no longer talk about God

They continuously complain about their troubles

They blame God for all their troubles

Step 3: Suppression

[Defin] the process of deliberately trying to stop thinking about certain thoughts

They conceal past experiences with God

They will not talk about their salvation anymore

They hide their experience with God so that they don't offend someone

Step 4: Depression

[Defin] a common term for a sad or low mood or the loss of pleasure; an emotion that does not affect capacity to perform personal and vocational obligations

[LPM Defin] Loss of hope, a person living without hope.

They never talk about their salvation

They never thank God

At this stage the deliverance team needs to get involved as the demons are well established in the host

Step 5: Oppression

[Defin] being kept down by unjust use of force, authority or societal norms.

By this time the person is overpowered by Satan and his demons

Having no fighting ability against the possessing demons

Bondage has set in.

Step 6: Obsession

[Defin] a mental disorder

[Defin] a type of disorder induced by the influence of an evil spirit

At this phase the person is total besieged by evil spirits and surrounded on all sides

Step 7: Possession

[Defin] occurs when a spirit (good – Holy Spirit, bad – demonic spirit), or other disincarnate entity takes control of a body which is not its own

[Defin] Actual holding or occupancy with or without rightful ownership.

Satan and demonic forces have TOTAL CONTROL of the person

What is the biblical process of deliverance?

In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth; And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will. (2Ti 2:25-26)

  1. Don't start to immediately cast out the devil (they are possessed because the have a "spiritual door" open -you need to close that door first).
  2. Reintroduce them to the Word of God (keep saying the bibles says ....)
  3. Let the Word of God be a hammer that breaks the rocks (bondage) into pieces

Is not my word like as a fire? saith the LORD; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces? (Jer 23:29)

  1. Instruct them in the Word of God gently
  2. The Word will bring repentance to their hearts (they will renounce the sin/ curse)
  3. They are thus acknowledging the truth of God's Word and closing the door they opened
  4. Now cast the devils out
7.
LET THE WORD OF GOD DO THE WORK !!!
